Restaurants and Hotels in Grangeville.

Recently had the chance to stay in Grangeville, ID and here are my reviews of the restaurants if you ever come through town.

#1 Seasons-Great Food and Friendly Service. 3 Star
#2 Palenque Mexican-Great Food and Friendly Service 3 Star
#3 Pizza Factory-Great Calzone and Pizza 3 Star
# 4 Hilltop-Never ending salad that is too big for the plate-Food is great, service is slow 2 Star
#5 Twisted Cellar-Slow service order the lunch special of Brats and got one brat, cup of soup for $9.49 1 star
#6 Oscars-Nothing outstanding, they think they are, but below average for costs.  1 star

Don't expect anything quick anywhere in town.

Hotels

Gateway Inn-If you like a piece of toast for breakfast stay here.  You may not be able to keep your room and have to move a lot since they do not move someone coming in to room you have to move to.

Super 8-Good luck if they answer the phone and if they do, if they wait on you, they will tell you they are busy and put the phone down for 20 minutes.  Then told no rooms, but I was speaking to someone else that wanted a room and they called after I had called and got a room. Owned by the same person as the Gateway and if staying any length of time, may make you move also.

White Bird Summit Lodge, Grangeville, ID

Had a chance to stay at White Bird Summit Lodge and I would recommend it.  It is at a nice location right of Highway 95 outside of Grangeville.  I have read a few reviews and some people like it and others did not.  I do not think you could find nicer hosts, Terri goes out of her way to make a pleasant stay, and accommodated folks when they were not happy with their room.
The breakfast are outstanding with a new dish everyday and fresh fruit.  The orange sauce is outstanding.

Worst ever Zapata's

Asked a few locals in Cody, WY for the best mexican restaurant and told Zapatas.

Absolutely worst restaurant ever.  Five hands down.
Out of some beer.
Out of sangria.
Out of some kids food.

Dry Carne Asada
Too spicey to eat Chile Verde.

$5 off my bill is what I was offered.

Stay away from Zapatas in Cody, WY

You get hor d'oeuvres of the crackers, oranges, cheese and onions.  Very good does not sound good but is.

Buffalo Restaurant

Great food at Buffalo Restaurant and lounge in Murdo, SD.  Great salad bar homemade soups.  Had the ribeye and was excellent.
